In an increasingly global world, the need for legal advice often extends beyond national borders. Clients and cases often need access and advice across various jurisdictions. Several of our lawyers have vast international experience, Ræder has also built and is a member of various international networks of leading law firms - this enables us to provide expert cross- border legal advice.
In international industries rules and regulations are constantly developing. Cross border transactions and disputes are also on the rise as companies internationalize their operations. It has become increasingly important for lawyers to understand international standards, rules and regulations as well as cultural differences in other jurisdictions. That is why we have recruited employees with an international profile acquired through studies, secondment, training or work abroad. They have gained experience, developing competence and built strong relations. Two of our lawyers have more than 15 years of practice and experience with New York City law firms and are admitted to the New York Bar (Partner Carl Garmann Clausen, and Partner Erik Aasland. We are also actively involved in various Chambers of Commerce.
Our experienced team regularly handles complex international clients and cases. We have historically had strong ties to the Nordic region, Europe, USA and Asia and have advised clients beyond national borders and expansion into international markets. Our corporate and tax groups often assist clients with setting up international group structures and tax planning. We also regularly advise international companies with operations and transactions in Norway.
US Corporate Desk
Our US Corporate Desk facilitates Nordic-US business opportunities in a time-efficient manner with a team that understands international standards, rules and regulations as well as the cultural differences. We regulary advise Norwegian companies when expanding their business to the US market and in US business dealings. We also act for US clients when doing business with and into Norway.
Our team advises on cross border M&A and other business transactions, and on investments between Norway and the US. We are an approved OTC Markets Sponsor and assist clients who wish to cross-trade in the United States on the OTCQX and OTCQB stock markets.
