New tax treaty with China
10. November 2025Norway and China have entered into a new tax treaty to replace the 39-year-old treaty between the countries. The new tax treaty reflects current international taxation requirements, with particular emphasis on combating tax avoidance and ensuring closer economic cooperation. At the same time, withholding tax on dividends is being reduced and the rules on permanent establishments are being updated in line with recent international standards.
Norway’s Wealth Tax Discourages Skilled Talent
