Expertise

Vegar Waage is a partner at Ræder Bing and works with technology, media and intellectual property law.

Vegar specializes in EU law and copyright, and has led a number of complex international negotiations concerning rights clearance.

He advises on, among other things, rights issues in media, culture, sports and entertainment, media law and freedom of expression, marketing and consumer law, contract law and commercial negotiations, as well as IT contracts, privacy, telecoms, e-commerce and regulation of digital services.

Before joining Ræder Bing in 2026, he was Head of Legal for the Telia Group’s media and content business in the Nordics. He has been ranked four years in a row in Finansavisen’s annual lawyer survey as one of Norway’s leading legal talents within media, culture and sports.

He has extensive experience with regulatory work and government relations, has lectured at the Norwegian Film School and Kristiania University College, and has supervised master’s students in intellectual property law at the University of Oslo.

Vegar leads Ræder Bing’s AI initiative.
